We had an awesome trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding areas over the weekend. Our planned trip was for a 3 day backpacking adventure. After reaching the Boulder Field campground Saturday night, in the dark, we started making plans for a more relaxing weekend. Sunday morning started off with intense headaches, freezing temperatures, and no water! We boiled some nasty tasting snow, popped some Advil, broke camp and made it down the mountain in a fraction of the time it took going up.

Sunday evening was spent is Estes Park at the Silver Moon Inn, in a king size bed with bellies full of elk steak and ribs! What a luxury after winter camping! Today we drove Hwy 34 through Rocky Mountain N.P., stopping along the way for whatever. All the pictures from the trip are at Picasa

Hey Noticed in pictures that you have butane stoves on site .
Nice move due to airline rules.
What did you do B4 flying out.
I used to dump mine at airport
now try to find way to get them to a camper.
Makes for neat way to talk to strangers.
